Beloved: Grace and Peace
Elkmont Baptist Church
Dearest and Beloved
How Do You Walk?
Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. What or whom do you walk after?
Grace to you.
Paul tells us,
therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who
the flesh, but
the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who
the flesh, but
- Romans 8:1-4 (bold added)
He tells us in Galatians,
I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. . . . But
if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are
; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told
in time past, that they which do such things shall
not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also
in the Spirit.
- Galatians 5:16-25 (bold added)
I so want to learn to walk in the Spirit, to walk after the Spirit, to be led of the Spirit.
