Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. A friend asked me, "What about Jesus?" And I answered, "I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead." And I prayed to God and said, "Lord, I don't know if You want me or not, but Your book says You do. My life isn't worth very much, but if You will have me, take it and do what You will" (B.W., my testimony, February 22, 1986).
Grace to you.
Around 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day. He had died for my sins and for yours. And He rose from the grave, NEVER to die again. It is the Resurrection season!
Moreover, brethren, I declared unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand, By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.
- 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Paul tells us the simple gospel of the Christ, first and foremost, that the Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Before the High Court of Heaven we have an Advocate who declares us, "Righteous!" And whom God has declared righteous is righteous indeed.
The promise of God, who cannot lie, is "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).
He lives, and we can do and endure all things through Him.
